Trail off from previous broadcast connection...

Kind of a weird issue I don't know if anyone has encountered.

Shoutcast v2
Latest shoutcast DSP plug
Centovacast v3

Through my own testing for the purpose of broadcasting, I've noticed that at the start of a new broadcast there is sometimes trail off from the end of the previous broadcast. Almost like audio from the previous broadcast connection gets stored in some sort of cache.

Not even sure how to start looking in to remedying this situation. Has anyone experienced this? How did you go about fixing it? Do you just deal with it?

what is the specific DNAS build being used ?

though it's always possible for some of the prior audio data in the buffers to be provided depending on what lead to the issue happening (especially if you're possibly providing the stream via an auto-dj and not just connecting directly to the DNAS).

so it's possible that what you're seeing is just systemic of the setup you've got (as you mention Centova you've most likely got an auto-dj involved) and would need to work out what stage is introducing the issue.

DNAS version is 2.4.2.167.

Thanks for the response.

that version probably isn't the cause (unless there is a bug we've not been able to replicate when dropping a source - as it will explicitly clear the buffers) and would suggest looking at the autodj solution that is being used (which is most likely what is being connected to / providing the stream to the DNAS if you're using a Centova based setup.

Thanks again. I'll be looking in to things from the centova angle.
