SC Ad triggering
Is there a way to stop individual SC2 servers from triggering ads. I noticed a recent change in the signup and authhash generation and apparently now when you sign up it's either to have your stream hosted with ads or run your own DNAS but still be part of the ad program.
Since I have a stream hosted with SC I have been generating the ads there but on my own servers I prefer to not have them. Problem is with SAM when it sends the Advert/Advert in the titling it's setting off ads across all the servers now. Since I don't get that many listeners on the hosted server I just cut that stream off for now because the new DNAS should really allow you to block ads from playing especially considering it's a self hosted server. Any ideas or do I just have to go with what I have and kill the one stream? Megarock Radio - St. Louis Since 1998! Don't click this link! Corporate Radio Sucks! No suits, all rock! |

SC Ad triggering
You only need to run ads when connecting to the YP. If you don't want to run ads on your server, don't. You are not required to run them. Simply uncheck the box Make stream public.
