Is anyone else having a problem with only half their EQ showing? My EQ window's bottom is right in the middle of the EQ sliders. Here's a screenshot. Thanks for giving us another alpha to play with!
![]() [edit] I've got the whole EQ now. After deleting the studio.xnf file (for the 3rd? time), the EQ window appeared the way it should. I don't know why it didn't the first time I deleted it. [/edit] [Edited by vcvrfus on 03-17-2001 at 01:52 AM] |

No, I see the whole EQ. The auto feature doesnt work, and of course there are no presets, and it doesnt show the changes in the cool little graph, but its there AND IT WORKS!
boxor skin is broken though, but it does appear that the memory footprint has been quite reduced. Its only taking like 10 megs of ram now. Alpha 4 took 40, but that was with boxor, so I cant truly compare now am I. Hmm..I wonder if shoutcast servers work? Im gonna run and check. |

In the studoi.xnf file (open with notepad) scroll down till you find: Default_Equalizer_eq_X= Change that value to 93 and then change the values on the next 3 lines to: 165, 275 and 116. This will make the whole equalizer appear in the default skin. Next, find the lines that correspond to the lines that you just changed for every skin (they are just a little farther down) and change the four values to 0, 0, 2 and 2. This will allow you to change skins. Also, if you get an error when it starts up, then change the line: container_Equalizer_visible=1 to container_Equalizer_visible=0 This should fix the problems. |

I guess to see the whole equalizer, you just have to change the line:
Default_Equalizer_eq_h=72 to Default_Equalizer_eq_h=116 Also, when I moved the sliders on the EQ and then restarted Winamp to save the info, it reset the value to 72. So if this happens, just change it again. The change seems to be sticking now. [edit] Hey I'm a member now [/edit] |

No, cant load other Shoutcast streams yet. Oh well. I would use winamp3 fully if and when this gets employed. I like it that much, even in Alpha.
All though 2 new bugs have popped up. The boxor skin, at least the latest one I have found, is broken now. Probably due to the fact that the program is still in construction so changes to the structure of the skin systems may have been made, but, whatever. That and I have had it crash several times when I am resorting my playlist. I realise now I should write down what is says, meh, Ill do it next time it happens. Keep up the good work Brennan! |

You think 9 gigs takes a while...
I've got 9200 mp3s at work....
Try loading *that* into winamp, and expect to not listen to anything for quite a while.... But that doesn't make it rock any less... =) Later, Mike |

I had a few problems with it, but I erased the entire winamp3 folder, and then made a clean install, it works perfect now.

Alpha 5....
Alpha 5 is less stable if it is using a studio.xnf file from a previous alpha. Delete that file, and it should regain stability.
