Unable to set radio station up using port other than 8000
I've been having problems with bugs in the Shoutcast web site not correctly recording a domain name rather than the temporary IP address I originally set up to check the system out. The GetStreamURL call was delivering the old IP invalid address then changed to the domain name then back again each day ... all very frustrating.
So I decided to delete the station & set it up again. Firstly I could not use the name I'd just deleted (bug). Secondly I provided a domain name & port number (8002) but it ignored that & created a station using port 8000 (which I cant use as its in use for another station). There doesn't appear to be any way to change this default. Before (with DNAS autohashes etc) one could specify the port number. |

When are you going to delete detritus?
I've had a few attempts to get a non port 8000 station up without success. Now I have 2 station names I cant use because even when deleted they are unavailable for re-assignment.

Shoutcast website or using a shoutcast 2 server?
I have many servers on different ports no issue 8000, 8240, 5150, 80. Since those are all single stream servers I just use portbase= With multiple streams it is something more like this serverport_1=8080 serverport_2=8080 serverip_1=www.server1.com serverip_2=www.server2.com Megarock Radio - St. Louis Since 1998! Don't click this link! Corporate Radio Sucks! No suits, all rock! |
