Variable Rate not displaying in version 58_3660_beta_full

Hello,

Ever since I installed this latest version, Winamp does not display the fluctuating VBR rate for mp3 files but instaead it displays a constant rate ... possibly the average rate which is actually the rate the properties for a VBR mp3 file display. Previously the VBR rate fluctuated all throughout the song. If I reinstall the 5.666 version this is working again but I have trouble playing CDs which I can only do with the latest version.

What has gone wrong in the new version?

The decoder was changed in 5.8, so that is probably the case.

You can switch back (or use the decoder to 5.666) as it has that option
Winamp 5.666
Winamp Pref > Plugins > Input >Nullsoft MPEG Audio Decoder >Configure> Decoder tab > uncheck "Show average vitrate on VBR Files"
