How to disable fade-in?

Just downloaded winamp. When I skip to a new place in a song by clicking on the progress bar, instead of just playing the new place, it fades it in, increasing the volume over like a half second interval. Don't see a setting to disable this. Is it possible? I used to love winamp, thought it was gone, really happy to see it's still alive, but I can't use it if there's no way to disable this annoying feature.

I believe you have to check out the output section, there's a fade section in nullsoft directsound output, fading tab, disable the "on seek" section

Thank you - that did it. I never would have thought to look under the plugins preferences, especially for something called nullsoft-blah-blah... Never in a million years. It works perfectly now... thank you!!!!

Hi,

I suggest you take some time to look at ALL the Winamp preferences options. There are a lot of them. Some are in places you would never guess to look. Over time various developers put upgrades and fixes where there was room to put them.

Even if you like the default settings, looking at everything is a good way to learn about what Winamp is capable of (especially the stuff that is not obvious or intuitive).
