Does anybody ever actually USE the balance slider?!
Well?
I 've been using WinAmp since v1.x (can't remember exact version) and have never used the balance slider to adjust the left-right panning. In my opinion, it's a waste of screen real-estate, and I'm seriously thinking about annexing it in the skin I'm currently working on.What's the opinion of other skinners/users? |

i think the only time i use the balance is when i'm checking out someones skin work or checking the quality of a recording; i now know that i've blown one of my speakers
![]() so yes, i do use it once in a while. i prefer to see it skinned than not. |

I use it similar to how I use the eq...that is, to annoy myself and give myself headaches
hey somebody try this: when listening to music, use a random eq setting that has large changes in it...here's on that gives me a great headache: 0, +20, +1.4, -11.1, -20, -20, +17.5, -20, +1.2, +17.2 |

get rid of the balance if thats what you want to do. if someone really wants to use it, its easy enough to switch back to the baseskin for sec to adjust it.

---- absolutely sacrifice the balance bar for the sake of art - otherwise it may be more beneficial to leave it in for the sake of completeness I personally have no use for the balance bar. If anyone can find any of the skins I made please email them to Forevever@aol.com I can't remember all the names but specifically hunting for Lascivious, and DEVOUR (compilation with Jax) and any in the Impulse series which had 6 total. Auriferous, Gilt, Impulse, Nadir, and 2 others I can't remember but you dig. |

i use it sometimes when im on the phone with my mom, and i have the headphones only on one ear, and i want to tune her out, so i blast it in my one ear and og 'uh huh, no uh huh' in that order, she never catches on!! i also use it to test out what skins do with it, anyway, i say leave it out if its cramping your style, who cares about the balance bar? if i need it ill switch to the base.the smileys changed again! :look: < i like this one, hes on something!

I have never used the slider in my life, but I imagine if one of my speaker blow it would come in handy.
Interestingly, If a skin doesn't have a balance.bmp but does have a volume.bmp, Winamp will automatically replace the blance with the first half of the volume! Talk about user friendliness. |

I've never used it, and I usually leave it out cause all the skins I make are picture skins, but I try to put it in as long as it doesn't disrupt the pic, I guess there are people using it, though those who do use it can probably figure out where it's supposed to be even if it isn't skinned.
