Behind a router ... how to set the server in this way ...

Hi guys,

I had set up a shoutcast server with winamp... but one problem i encountered is that when i am behind a router, my ip changes and thus i can only broadcast using my LAN ip but other people who wanna listen cannot listen cause its a LAN Ip and not the original WAN IP.

So how do i get it up so that people can listen ?

for those who don't get me. e.g i have an isp provided me with the ip 111.222.333.444 but then with the router it spilts to say 555.666.555.1 (for pc 1), 555.666.555.2 (for pc 2) and so on ...
so when i broad cast it shows the IP of 555.666.555.1 for PC 1 ....

how u all get me ... with the LAN ip i cannot get users to listen ...
hope u all can help me with it ... thanks =)

NAT / routing

You have to configure your routing table / NAT in the router.
Must map some of the ports on the external ip -> the internal ip.
If your radio runs on port 8000 (default) you must route port 8000 and 8001 to the internal ip.

I think you have to route some other ports to, but i have not figured it out yet ...CAN anybody help me with this one ??
