I can't connect to my Server
I have recently installed a Shoutcast server on a computer running Linux Mandrake 8.0. The server is up and running, and from what I know is working. I have Winamp installed with the DSP plugin. I can connect to http://myserver:8000/content/scpromo.mp3 and it plays fine. However, if I try to connect to my server from Winamp to play music, nothing happens. It says connecting, then says Not connected. I am on a LAN with a Linksys router and dynamic IP's. I have tried to enter the computer IP, the network's IP, and my ****** name, and nothing will let me connect. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Any errors in the DNAS log?
How are you trying to connect with Winamp? Please give a sample link. |

Actually, I have pretty much given up on setting it up. I recently tried again, however, I had no luck whatsoever. I can no longer connect to anything. Since then I have set up a static IP, thinking that would help, but it has not, in fact, it has only made the situation worse. I keep hearning that maybe I should try to disable DHCP, but for right now, I will just wait. Thank you for the replies.
