Writing custom messages is made fairly clear if you read the manual and the milk_msg.ini file. It is possible to change the message file on the fly, and start using the new messages straight away. It's pretty simple stuff, really. If you need help, I can put up examples, but what's already in the milk_msg.ini file should be enough

Yes, i know how to edit the file! but...

is pretty annoying to read the

i thought it will be ezier just to
press e.g. F5 and start typing then F5
to end again!!!

if there is a plugin just like what

So you are requesting a new feature then not haveing problems with the plug-in? I also presumed that you had problems editing the file that's why I moved this thread to the troubleshooting forum.

ARe you having probem with the text file as I don't find it annoying at all really. It would not be that much quick to have F5 to start and end. How would you define all the effects - the only way is really that ini file I feel?

If you keep the ini file open on your second monitor and then scroll down to an effect that you are happy with and edit that text and save the ini file don't close it should not that much of a problem.

ANyway there are loads of other feature requests for VJing/display options have a look at the wishlist.

As you've said, this really belongs in requests now.

The effects for quick messages would be defined in a "default" settings in the ini file. Anything you typed in real-time would use the default settings, or you could call up the custom messages as desired.

I would think that a good way to enable the "real-time" message entering would be to hit enter when none of the menus were on-screen.
