Winamp Agent is every restart of Winamp3 in my tray!
Dear programmers,
I have a second bug report for you: The Winamp Agent can't be deactivated in my player. Every time I restart the player (and I close the player correctly), the Winamp Agent appears again in my tray, even if I deactivated it! I observed this behaviour also with some other options, that simply were not saved and were reset to the default after a Winamp3 restart. Greetings - Thomas |

No, there is none of the files in read only mode. And the option is also correctly set in the "studio.xnf", but Winamp seems to ignore it...

Here's how to fix this issue:

Ensure that winamp agent is closed but not disabled.
Edit c:\program files\winamp3\winampa.ini with notepad.
Locate the line that reads "is_intray=1" and change it to "is_intray=0"
Save the file and close notepad.
Make winampa.ini read only for now.
Launch c:\Program files\winamp3\winampa.exe.
You can take the read only off of winampa.ini now.
For me, this works like a charm. A bit of a pain, but that's life. -- Douglas |

If you also use Classic Winamp (AKA Winamp 2) make sure Agent is disabled there also. WA3 and WA2 agent effect each other.
Ctrl+P > Setup > Agent > uncheck "Enable Winamp agent"and other Agent settings |
