No...there is a server that you must install as well.
http://www.shoutcast.com/download/ Click be a server and download the server. Please...for the love of god though...please read this http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....threadid=70403 before you ask questions. |

Guess you are shit outta luck for help tonight then. Maybe someone will take pity on you in the morning and hold your hand.
If you cant help yourself by learning...good luck running SHOUTcast then. By the way, learn proper punctuation. |

Be sure to look at the stickies at the top of the page. The error means you don't have a clear connection to the internet, don't worrry though this is quite eazy to fix, if your willing.
Try fowarding ports 8000-8001 on your router or firewall. If you have one. If you have winXP please disable it completly. REstart the server and see if it works then

Two (or less) easy steps:
1. If you have a firewall, open the necessary port(s). 2. If you have a router, configure it to forward the necessary port(s) to the DNAS machine. Check out the Sticky post titled: SHOUTcast: Important Info & Answers to FAQs. READ ME! Scroll down a bit and look for the section titled: DNAS Stuff -> Errors -> Fixing [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxx) from the Internet, disable NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out) Are the necessary ports open in your firewall and are they being forwarded to the DNAS machine? Check out http://www.radiotoolbox.com/cantheygetin and see if the reported information there helps. |
