soft stop/ pause feature

I was wondering; I've noticed on other peoples winamps when they hit pause or unpause the music fades really quickly instead of coming to a dead stop. How do I get mine to do this? I know it has to be something simple, but sometimes I'm dumb...

Preferences (Ctrl-P) > Plugins > Output > Select "DirectSound output..." > Hit Configure > Fading tab > enable "on pause/stop"
