mnah, rave is cheesy, its so fast, you cant dance to it. unless youre on crack, then it becomes a show. trance is fast enough to feel like a cardio workout. uh, rave is now called happy hardcore.

I can't keep up with these sub-genres. Music mutates all the time! I'm into a fair few Trance artists, but I prefer Electroclash (pumping analog, good tune, witty lyrics with sexy vocals). Examples:
Miss Kittin Ladytron FischerSpooner Swayzak FC Kahuna Alpinestars The Faint Martini Bros Legowelt There's a vibrant (relatively young) electroclash scene. I'm also fond of detroit techno (Adult., Dreciya, Cybotron). I've just realised I've spent 50% of the working day on this forum. If I had a conscience I'd forfeit half my wages. |

It's been something to see "dance" music progress through the years.
Starting with Disco way back when. Then evolving from Disco into House Music up in Chicago. Then from that into all the different types that they're are today. Now each type is further divided into their own subgenre, as Cylob said, like Deep House, and Hard Trance, and TechnoTrance, and so on. It gets kinda hard to figure it all out sometimes. |

I like trance and deep house, downtempo and acid jazz, and chillout especially chilled out versions of popular trance songs. |

I like just about everything....well not quite, but here are some of my fav groups.
2pac (and selected other gangsta' rap) Pink Floyd Fleetwood Mac Smashing Pumpkins Pearl Jam (plus lots of other grunge) Led Zeppelin U2 (the old 80's stuff is better) Third eye blind plus much mmore... I'll listen to just about anything. I guess it just depends on what mood i'm in. |
