So I'm writting a report on my last year in industrial placement and goto the bit about social skills gained etc etc. And out popped this:

As well as the important technical skills I learnt and was exposed to there were other social effects and influences that come from working in a different environment to what you are used to; learning of this kind is to be expected of any prolonged experience of an environment. One of the most prominent and obvious changes is that of a work ethic, you become accustomed to working during the day in a professional manner. Whether this any more productive to my old ways of working throughout the night is debatable but perhaps the ‘shock’ of leaving university for the real world will be lessened because of this newly instilled ‘this is the way things are and they won’t change’ mentality. If this is designed to turn people into good little capitalists is beyond the scope of this paper.

Then I start to wonder whether a computing degree was such a good choice for me
