I recently downloaded Blasterball, when I try to play, a message comes up which says, Java requires you to restart your computer, I have tried restarting several times and the same message appears, can you help with this?

Send a message via AIM to isalive
If you are talking about the winamp plug-in, you may not have the correct version of the java interpreter in order run the game. It is freely downloadable but other than that it just may not like your system.

Blasterball Java Problem

I'm seem to be having the same problem as what Frosty1 has described.
After downloading & installing Winamp 2.91 I proceeded onto games plugins where I downloaded Blasterball and when running this game also got a message saying: -

"Java requires you to restart your system when new components are
installed. You will need to do this before running this application
for the first time".

I have followed these instructions, but the same message appears each time.
Isalive mentioned that, 'you may not have the correct version of the java interpreter in order run the game. It is freely downloadable...' but I was wondering what is the correct version of the Java interpreter, and where can I get a free version to download?

Any further suggestions to help me solve this problem would be very helpful.

Cheers!

BlasterBall is a 3rd party plug-in. Try going to WildTangent support for help.

BTW You found a thread that is over 2 years old. Please don't feel insulted if isalive does not post a reply. J/K

Cheers

Another thing worth mentioning...

From what I have heard, WildTangent games & plug-ins are filled with spyware. Try downloading and running a spyware buster.

SpyBot Search & Destroy and/or Ad-aware.

Good Luck

Yah, that certainly is worth mentioning - All that spyware stuff does my head in!
But I do have one of those Spyware buster's that you mentioned - so I'll do a sweep just to check.

Cheers for the help JonnyMac

PS: Thank you for kindly adding the links for me too.
