CD-ROM Headphone Output

Is it possible to get winamp 2.8 to playback mp3's using the headphone output on a CD-ROM drive?

Hmmm...I guess that's it. I'm using a windows NT machine in a computer cluster at college so I can't have speakers or anything. I tried plugging the headphones into the back of the computer, but the cord isn't long enough.

Thanx

No it is not possible. The CDROM\Player headphone jack is independent from the computer or soundcard.

Try using a headphone extension cord on the back of the soundcard.

Whoops, I was editing my reply at the same time you made your reply. I included the headphone suggestion in my edit.
