remote control of winamp via network

Hello,
I am new to winamp.
Is there a way to control winamp (on my server conected with my amplifier) via network (e.g. with a pda or simpad)?
Is there a "standard protocol" to do this or do I always need a plugin?
I know there are some control suites, but I want to build my own one.

All I found in the docu, is a control mechanism via WM_ and WM_COMMAND-messages.
This can't be all.

Could anyone help me?

Thanks, Gerhard

You need a plug-in.

Plug-in Search: Network
Plug-in Search: Remote
