CD Playlist-- Need Help saving

Does anyone know how to save playlist from cds?
I know how to save them, but everytime I open them up and push play without the cd in,nothing happens.
Could someone please tell me why. Thanks.

In order to play CD Audio tacks the CD needs to be in the drive, you just cannot make a playlist. Playlists contain no musical data. Rip the CD to MP3 (or Ogg Vorbis) using CDex or EAC.
