I suggest an reinstallation (update preferably) of the video drivers.
also check if the color anomalies only occur on Windows (9x/2k) GUI. e.g.: try some DOS app (text an graphic mod) and report the results. Maybe your monitor needs maintenance. |

the video drivers were updated prior to installation of winamp..i also did a reinstallation of them after uninstall of 2.76 and before 2.91 install..dos application text/graphics are ok..but the window frame in dos edit mode is funky..it only is occuring when i open a window..using opera right now and all the graphics are fine..the text is hazed as if it is trying to be multicolored..the right side of screen is most affected in every window regardless of application or program running..you may be right could just be the monitor..thanks for your help much appreciated..

Another test: control panel, video property, appearance.
Check if any GUI component show the anomalie. After seeing this click on: color drop down, other. It must open a full color palette. Again see if the anomalie shows up. Last edited by bmezenga; 28th August 2003 at 13:51. |

tried that also..the color spectrum is fine however the outside edges of the color boxes are green and the drop down arrow is as well..hooked up another monitor same problem..played around with it yesterday and it seems that microsoft plus may be the culprit..imagine that microsoft..it has been my experience that if a problem occurs 9 out of 10 times it is a microsoft product..and the solution is also a problem..plus won't uninstall completely..so the green haze is only half fixed..time to just swipe the OS partition and reinstall clean..again thank you for your time much appreciated..
