More Linux problems

<09/07/03@18:19:49> [STREAM] Error connecting to stream host [waiting 10s]
<09/07/03@18:19:59> [STREAM] Creating stream socket
<09/07/03@18:19:59> [STREAM] Resolving stream host

It seems as though sc_trans is having trouble finding sc_serv....

Do I need to be running these from the same directory or something?

Any ideas?

It would help but make sure tht the path file in the config file is correct.

I figured it out...

*sheepish look*

I had port 9001 closed still...

One issue though, when trying to stream live soundcard output my listeners didn't get anything....

I'm thinking that the path to my sound card was wrong in the playlist file...

Any thoughts?

If Your Using the DSP check the input at the very last tab. You alsso might want to check if your mic and inputs are turned up loud enough. Use the volume controll and select options and properties to check for your recording volumes as well.

doubtful he is using the DSP if he already said he was using sc_trans

make sure you have entered the audio card path twice in the playlist.

Yeah, I'm not using the DSP.... I don't think they have a graphical DSP for XMMS (the linux winamp) ...

If they do I'd love to know about it.

Well anyway, I have my station running.

Does anyone else have a method for using XMMS specifically as the source for sc_serv.

Remember this is all Linux stuff, so suggestions involving windows are kinda unhelpful.
