ADSL Modem forgets where it's at????

It is made by D-Link. It's model no is DSL-200 USB modem.

I must confess as I remmeber installing service pack one after the modem drivers. I am guilty of plugin it in and reading the manual later (usually only if there's a problem). Would the service pack make some adjustments that the drivers compensate for when installed??

The theory on test now is maybe it might!!! Because this is the very reason the service pack was sent out (to fix USB data problems etc)with new hardware.... I guess I will find out in 19.5hours

But I'm up for suggestions just in case this is a wild goose chase!!!!
