why continuous low buffer? - Current Song: [Buffer: 40%] SONG NAME
Hello all
I don't know if anyone has seen this happen before....but..here goes. I have three different shoutcast servers that are being fed a source from a the Winamp SHOUTcast DSP plugin. Winamp is one one box, the SHOUTcast sever son on another box. They are connected via a switch..one hop. When I view the server stats page , all of the servers are always in a state of buffering...right where is lists the Current Song. This doesn't seem to cause a problem with the quality..I've listen for hours and heard no dropouts. Its just annoying me that no one elses shoutcast servers do this. The source machine has a gig of ram and a 1.2 gig celeron..and its doing nothing else but pviding shoutcast sources. The SHOUTcast servers are under no load at all..this is all testing for now. Any ideas why this is happening? |

Does your single Winamp/DSP combo source the multiple DNASs or do you source one DNAS and have the other DNASs relay?
Are the multiple DNASs serving multiple bitrates or are they all the same bitrate? |

How do you source the DNAS?
From a playlist of MP3s or some other means? What version numbers of the DSP are you using? Please clarify: "I have three different shoutcast servers ..." or "i run only one instance of the DNAS". Is it three or one? |

Reset it.
Since you're in soundcard input mode, you'll either need to: 1: Update the titles manually via http://IP:PORT/admin.cgi?pass=PASSWORD&mode=updinfo&song=INFO 2: Try MP3Toolbox |
