winamp and cdex

i have just upgraded to winamp 2.91 and am having a problem when using both winamp and cdex (1.50 beta 10)

my computer reboots itself and when it boots, it reports it has recovered from a serious error

I believe the reboot activity occurs only when the library window in winamp is open

XP SP1 + updates
AMD 1.2ghz
Creatvie SB16 sound (with latest drivers)
Nvidia TNT2 riva video (latest detenator driver)
Pioneer DVD
Aopen CDRW
