oh no!

i seem to be having a large problem with MS paint lately. If i put a color down it comes on the canvas a different color. For example, when i select yellow, it comes out orange or sumthing weird. also, when i save something, these messed up colors get saved with it. Furthermore, if i copy something from mspaint or into mspaint, these weird colors go with it. me needs help. I miss my trusty paint program

Looks like you're in luck: your mspaint is screwed and you'll have to get a real paint program MSpaint is crap. Obviously, its features are very limited, but it's also missing a whole lot of ease-of-use features that come standard in most other paint programs. Get yourself one of them. It doesn't have to be one of the giants like Photoshop - most freeware paint programs are better than mspaint. If I were you, I'd burn mspaint onto a CD, delete it off my hard drive, and then flush the CD down the toilet.

a)go to image>>attributes>>and make sure "colors" is checked, not "black and white"

b)Try using another program to save an image with the correct colours, and then try opening it in paint and see what that does.

it seems to depend on what program i save it in. if i save it in Gimp, it works fine. but if i save it in either paint or this thing called microsoft image composer, it saves all weird. like for that red skin i just did, i changed the colors in gimp and copied it into paint. not sure why i did that but i did. when i copied it in, it turned yellow. weird

[EDIT] like magic it seems to be working again [/EDIT]

It's because the colour pallette has changed. Notice, that if you take the Winamp 2 base skin files from the Nullsoft Development Centre, and open them in Paint, then try to paint on them, the colours are fucktarded. The .bmps that the base-skin contain are in a shitty colour pallette.
