Compressor: Dynamically change volume within one mp3 like a radio station.
Hi,
I'm searching for a compressor plugin. I'm not looking to normalize my mp3's, as I find when I search this forum for compressors. I like to compress the audio stream meaning the volume output will be constant. The maximum volume will not be louder, the average will. There must be a cutt-off so that just noise won't become laud, but, for example, a little pling and a laud pling on a piano must be at the same level. Radio stations use this. I've seen VU-meters with and without compressor. With the latter, the VU-meter was constant instead of variable. Is there a pluging like this? I'm using "wide & dynamix" right now, but it doesn't seem to work very well. A test file with laud to whisper changes, but not to one volume. Somebody knows? Thanks!

You might want to use the plug-in search for a proper plug-in.

Oh Thanks, my review:
Piettro Pro's RockSteady: many options, very hard compression, you hear very hard volume changes every second. But for my purpuse it works. Thomas Limiter: a lot of possibilities which I did not figured out yet. It works, without annoying hard changes. Zyrax's Evil Volume Equalizer: it works, but few options. Thanks! |
