Shoutcast crash

hey,
I'm running an Unix server with shoutcast installed.
And on another machine I'm running winanp2 with plugin 1.8.2b
I can stream in hours using winamp as the source.
But what I need to use is the mic, so i tried using it.
What happends now is that the plugin suddenly crash. IT can happen in 10 min of after an hour or so.
With crash I mean: the shoutcast plugin shows both the Input levels at their highest, and the listeners starts hearing some weird sounds (Like a radio frequency where no stations send)
If I now change Input device to winamp, and back to soundcard, the problem get fixed.
What makes it do as it does?

I'm not sure.
I run a radio program, and we thought we should get it live on net aswell. So we tested shoutcast with winamp as source.
Next we used our mixer, and connected to the "line in " on the PC.
It seemed to work fine, untill it started making these noicy sounds.
