Error Resolving Server

Hi guys,

I Want to start a server, all things r in right place. That is, i have downloaded shoutcast server, shoutcast plugin for winamp and its even connecting to server. If i see in this link it says the server is up (http://yourserverort/admin.cgi?pass=yourpassword). But i cant stace my server in the radio list. When i open my shoutcast server in the tray it keeps on saying "error resolving yp.shoutcast.com server". I dont have a DNS, but i connect to net using proxy, which is 192.168.0.1 and port 3128. How should i configure my Shoucast server.I want to broadcast my station on net, i dont know how to configure my shoutcast server log(where to give my proxy details).
I had given localhost in address box, but in the server it says error resolving server. when i see http://localhostort , it shows the server is running but i cant listen to it since it says server not found. If i give http://mynetiport then the page is not found.
plz help, if possible give a shoutcast server log.txt to me

My proxy details using which i connect to net
192.168.0.1
port:3128

I'm not sure, but I think that it means that YP is having a problem listing you.. therefore, it's not your fault.

But just in case, go into your server config file and change YPort to 666 and see if the error disapears.

"error resolving yp.shoutcast.com" is an error on the client side.

The DNAS is saying "I don't know what ip yp.shoutcast.com is therefore I cannot make contact".

You have to use a DNS. That's the guy that resolves domains, such as yp.shoutcast.com or www.festerhead.com, to the appropriate ip. Remember, domain names are for us dumb humans.
