not able to listen to any stations on winamp @ college
help!! i run a server from home on shoutcast. i recently got a job on campus and am allowed to listen to musicwhile i work. i downloaded winamp3 and when i tried to access my station it didn't play anything. it said stopped. i have tried winamp b4 on various computers at school, they never work either. i also have tried other stations on winamp.nada!!
i am able to tune into yahoo launch & netscape radio.

People in that forum (like you) will be able to better help you with your SHOUTcast server problem. You posted in the wrong forum. It might have to do with the college blocking ports...

that must be it. wonder if i can change it on my work pc though. i wonder why they blocked the port?? i know cause of hackers but i am being sarcastic. o well at least there are other stations that broadcast on other playerrs.
