Cannot get skins to load

Hi gang. I just wanted to come on here and post my question before I go completely nuts. And start killing small, furry, farm animals. Okay. I've tried changing my skin for Winamp. And I find that I don't have any. So I download some, and put them in my skins folder, inside the winamp directory. Well. Guess what? Winamp keeps telling me I don't have any skins. What am I doing wrong?

That's odd. The file format you're downloading is .wsz, right? Try double-clicking the skin files.

since you say the directory is right, it is my guess you are not download the right type of skins. .wal is a winamp 3 only skin. .wsz on the other hand can be used for both winamp versions, but is made specifically for v2. Can you give us a link to a skin you tried to download?

are you sure that you have your skins directory set as the right folder? make sure that its program files(or whatever)\winamp\skins

Never underestimate the bandwidth of a station wagon full of tapes hurtling down the highway.
