Bands that sounded better live
Yes...The vice-versa of spaceplayradio's topic on bands that sucked live; Which bands have you seen live, and sounded better live?
I havn't gone to many concerts, but last month, local rock radio station 105.1 WLRS held the annual LRS Fest, which was an outdoor concert here in Louisville, featuring quite a few performances from rock bands...Some of them were lame no-namers, and there were also some good no-namers... But the last two performances for the night were of two big-name bands: Trapt followed by Suicidal Tendencies...Because I had work the following day, I couldn't stay for Suicidal Tendencies... ![]() But lemme tell you this about Trapt (Which I did see before I busted): Before then, I absolutly did NOT like Trapt. Alot of rock fans will know them for their "Headstrong" single. Just another catchy rock tune everyone liked, but because radio stations played the hell out of the song and the song was nothing ground-breaking, it just annoyed me. I felt like going around and dissing Trapt during their performance that night. But so I stood there and desided to watch anyway, and boy was I wrong... I actually found them damn good... But that's probably because I got the joy of seeing them play live right in front of me, and they played about 6 or 7 songs off their album...When they closed out with the obvious "Headstrong", the mosh pits were on fire, I was hyped; I don't think I ever enjoyed the song at all like this before... I'd like to see them live once more some time...But even after seeing them live and warming up to them a bit, I still think their non-live stuff sucks... ![]() So...What about you?
A very close Japanese friend I knew a while ago once said to me "Watashi no koto wo oboeta, onegai shimasu...Yakusoku?" I forgot his name though... |
