Are you on XP?

Do you have a firewall?

Are you on a router?

Make sure you set up a NAT forward in your router.

Make sure the ports are forwarded through the firewall.

What type of router are you on?

Do a forum search on how to shut off the built-in XP firewall.

Also see if this thread helps: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....hreadid=116786
-----------------------
Two (or less) easy steps:
1. If you have a firewall, open the necessary port(s).
2. If you have a router, configure it to forward the necessary port(s) to the DNAS machine.

Check out the Sticky post titled:
SHOUTcast: Important Info & Answers to FAQs. READ ME!

Scroll down a bit and look for the section titled:
DNAS Stuff -> Errors -> Fixing [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxx) from the Internet, disable NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out)

Are the necessary ports open in your firewall and are they being forwarded to the DNAS machine?

Check out http://www.radiotoolbox.com/cantheygetin and see if the reported information there helps.

Please read some polite advice.

Hey there just a note do not turn off your XP firewall the more walls up the better you can configure XP to let that port through.

A properly configured router, at most one firewall (let your router do the routing), and the manuals is all that's required.

Since not all firewalls/routers are the same, the generic walkthrough is quoted above.

Check out your router documentation and/or router manufacturer website for port forwarding (aka virtual server) instructions.

Check out your firewall documentation and/or firewall manufacturer website for port opening instructions.

Or, please post the make/model of what you have to work with and we may do the searching for you.
