Y do my mp3's go berserk after a few seconds?

They'll play for about 10 to 15 seconds, then it's like a crazy keyboard and the bitrates count down - it's weird.
Thanx,
Howard

This usually happens when you download files from the FastTrack server. On the FastTrack server (Kazaa is a client) you download different portions of the same song from different users at the same time. This allows downloads and uploads to be done quickly and more efficiently. The only problem is that if you download major portions from a user that has a faulty song (usually RIAA influence), then it will seem to play fine in parts, but other parts will be messed up.

AOL may kill you now that they know you have been downloading their music illegally. Watch out.

Yes the 2 files in question came from Kazaa - but they are not released music they are DEMO's and LIVE stuff. - I always (well almost always) buy released music at the stores. If you keep your eyes out you can get a new CD for $10 and that's alot easier than spending the time necessary to get an entire album in good quality. Is there a way to "fix" the file or just get it from 1 person?
Thanx,
Howard
