Direct encoding

I would like to have direct mp3 encoding by plugins that encode only from WAV format (like ogg vorbis). It's not hard, you just need to first encode files to wav and then run the encoder.

MP3 Output plugins
out_enc (comes with LameEnc)
more listed here

The Diskwriter Output plugin (included with default setup) can also be configured to use mp3 acm codec.

Or did I misunderstand your post?

I ment mp3 to ogg. I used the OUT_FILWRITE.dll with ogg and it didn't work at all, but a few minutes ago I found the OUT_VORBIS.dll plugin on one of the forums and it works fine - nice and fast.
Thanks anyway.

Oh, right, yeah . . . I did misunderstand you then . . . lol

Yes, use out_vorbis for wav to ogg

I don't recommend re-encoding from mp3 to ogg
Lossy to lossy is always more lossy.
