Connect to any player?
I now have the link on my site for my new station.
My question is... If someone does not have Winamp player will it automatically connect to the persons default player? |

Most people are just running MS Media Player.
If it does not automatically connect... is there something that I can do to all it to connect to their MS Media Player? |

You will have to make a .asx file and put on your
website server. How To Make Windows Media Player And Real Player Stream Files For the .asx file to open a Windows Media Player stream, put the following in a notepad document. code: <asx version="3.0"> <title>TITLE</title> <entry> <title>TITLE</title> <author>AUTHOR</author> <ref href="http://yourIP:yourPORT/"/> </entry> </asx> Then save it as (name of your choice).asx Be sure to change things to fit your needs. NOTE: This only works in Windows Media Player 7.1 and up. For the .ram file to open a Real Player stream, enter the following into a notepad document: code: http://yourIP:yourPORT.rm Then save it as (name of your choice).ram Upload your streaming files to your website server and link them to open in the appropriate player. |

This link has all known shoutcast players that are
supported. It is a little long but it's worth looking at. http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....hreadid=141677 |

also in addition, it will only work with the more modern players of Windows Media Player. Older Versions will cause errors (mostly because WM Hates Streaming Mp3 or SHOUTcast in all)
