Front-to-Rear(VERY important for Live/Audigy1,2 cards!!!)

for all live/audigy/audigy2(except eX), we know the key to improve sound quality is to avoid the use of AC97 @ the front output. the best way is SWAP FRONT & REAR, using the I2S codec instead.

RMAA showed that using I2S instead of AC97 improves THD+N result by more than 90% (by Kx project)

if you want to make a change in the official driver to Swap Front & Rear, it's nearly impossible. the only driver being able to Swap Front and Rear is Kx driver, but you must give up the use of EAX and A3D if you uses this driver.

the Swap Front and Rear DSP is now a attached DSP of foobar, and i found that there seems to be NO DSP for winamp to Swap Front and Rear.

can any programmers here make a DSP plug-in to Swap Front and Rear? All live/audigy/audigy2 users in the world will thank you!

I want to keep my A3D and EAX

I don't know if this is against winamp forum rules, but theres a media player called 'foobar2000' which enables you to switch from front channel to rear. I am aware of this issue, and I use foobar if I plan to listen to better music.

A better solution? Get a better soundcard that doesn't need all these workarounds and is known to produce very high quality sound like M-Audio Revo. DJEgg can attest to that. You can ask anyone at HA also. Sound Mangler isn't a high quality soundcard, period.

@samsung: do you read posts, before posting, or just the thread title? (let me guess).

In case you read what he was talking about, I dare to translate: I think he knows of foobar by himself. But I think he wants to use winamp anyway. And I think he want others to develop a Winamp plugin to cover this feature.
