audion and sc_trans

i'm just hoping to get some advice regarding this issue. when streaming with sc_trans there seems to be no distortion....relatively clean sound. audion on the otherhand, despite the various setting available seems to distort, even with a flat equalizer setting. no distortion when playing strait from audion, but when steaming and tuning in via itunes (with a flat equalizer setting) ...have tuned in with real player too...and same result. the stream distorts. no prob with the same situation via sc_trans. anyone know why this might occur. i have normalized most tracks before encoding them all at 192 kbps 44100mhz
no idea why this is occuring. there don't seem to be any compressors that work with audion either...unless anyone can correct me.
any feedback is would be appreciated
