Can Anyone Help Me?

Hey! i need help - i downloaded Love Actualy

but it doesn't play - it comes up with obscure error messages like "Access denied" , or takes me to windows update page. none of that helps me. it might be the codec, but i have the nimmo codec pack, and the divx codec, and all my other films work. please can someone help??? thanks so much! also, email me - vellma100_abc@hotmail.com

Hi, I dont know what Love Actually is, but I'm assuming its a movie, keep in mind when you post nobody knows what sofware or system specs your using.I will offer what help I can.

This does sound like a codec problem. There is a program called fourcc.exe it is called 'four code changer'. All video files have a four digit code. This program (which is very small) runs, you tell it what video file to look at, and it tells you the four digit code. You can then look up the code on the internet (I suggest a good search engine), and find out which codec it is. Like mp43 is Microsoft's version of the mpeg 4 codec I think. But you get the picture. Then find the codec you need, and your in business. Hope this helps.
