zootm reiser has been stable for a long time, just not always brilliant
. there were a few horror stories back in the day about it, but reiser 4 is shaping up to be mind blowing, seems similar to what microsoft are trying to achieve with winfs. except very fast performance from it (if you look at their benchmarks). should be interesting resier4 is completely modular at final testing phase no doubt will replace reiser3 in the 2.6 kernel im not sure if it has already. http://www.namesys.com/v4/v4.html what i also like is Quote:
ready and running by the end of 2003 winfs wont be released till 2006, gotta love this also Quote:
zootm that sounds nasty by the way no doubt any os would throw a fit if you did that to it. xzxzzx good stuff, glad to hear, and im even happier that i wont have to hear you bitching about my grammer. Next time before copying and pasting an old post read the rest of the comments made after that post.. (but you wont be reading this, which is good stuff) frankly this arguement could run and run, with no successful result.. It as at the end of the day the users choice.. What i run will not be what you like its about choice as long as the choice is left to the consumer and not a dictator company then its all good. Last edited by dopey; 4th December 2003 at 08:30. |
