Problem with server

Hello,
I have already a Xitami Webserver running on port 80... Can i also run a Shoutcast server to broadcast music?

Yes you just need to run it on a port other than 80. Leaving it at the default setting of 8000 will work fine so long as their is nothing else running on port 8000

Hmmzzz... There's nothing running on port 8000, but when i put in that port in config, it automatically takes port 8001... So i gave access to port 8001 on my router! The DSP plugin is sending a lot of bytes, but when i put in http://(my ip number):8000 it won't do anything... and :8001 doesn't work either!

if your router doesn't support local loopback then machines on the same lan as the DNAS (you) need to use the lan ip of the DNAS to connect/listen.

Hey it works! I've made it possible for the server to access ports 8000 & 8001, used the IP of the server (on the lan) and it works! I only have a very slow connection right now but that doesn't mind!
