Streams Skip

Hey i'm having a problem with streaming Shoutcast radio stations. This usually happens with the bigger name stations (radiostorm, DI, etc..). Its simply skipping and skipping and skipping conintuously. The streams that this does it on the titles when playing in Winamp are some number like "1040" or whatever. Anyone know how to fix this?

Try disabling title streaming.

Winamp
-> Ctrl+p
-> Plug-ins
-> Input
-> Nullsoft MPEG Audio Decoder
-> Configure
-> Streaming tab
-> Uncheck 'Enable SHOUTcast title support'.

Worked like a charm. Thanks. One other question though; There's no way other way to keep the titles?

MOst likely it's a problem with the UltraVox stations (the stations with titles like "1040").

DOes title streaming work fone for other stations such as mine?

It probably only does it on streams broadcasting on port 80. Are you behind a proxy or something that might be stripping out headers?
