problems

We have our linksys router wan port hooked up to a netgear 5port switch hub and when i go open my ports 8000~8001 and 80~81 it still doesnt work i have Block WAN Request off and still nothing heres what i get <12/13/03@00:48:36> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak)
<12/13/03@00:48:36> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 12.145.85.40:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out)) i have internet sharing turned off and everything also. I have also tryed the DMZ host and still get the same thing. Any ideas?
DHCP server is turned off also.

Are you on WindowsXP?

Have you forwarded the ports correctly? (See below)

(FIRST, go to the start menu, run..., enter "command". In there, enter "ipconfig".. copy down the entry after "IP Address......")

Go into your internet browser and enter "192.168.1.1" (without quotes). Leave the username part empty and in the pass, put "admin". On the top right, hit "advanced". On top, click "forwarding". Enter the following:

Under Ext. Port: 8000 to 8001
Check the TCP box
Enter the last three numbers of your IP address
Check enable.
Save the settings.

yeah iv done that also i belive my cat5 is hooked up in port two so that makes it 192.168.101. Iv been tryin to get it work for almost two days.

naw they dont, and not on proxy.

WE are on wireless own half of the company yeah a router i dont know about a network tho

Have you tried consulting documentation on your router on how to acomplish this?

Its a linksys rounter. Nope i havnt couldnt find but iv tryed everything i found on the forms to get it working

hehe yeah i already know how to do all that, well iv looked all over the forms and still get nothing iv set my connection back to obtain an ip addy automatically. But i cault my self today and had a wrong dns number in the routers conf and in tcp/ip i changed it back and still get the same error with port forwarding and dmz hosting, iv upgraded firmware and downgraded it. Maby ill try puting in the setings in tcp/ip with the right dns ip this time and see if it works.
