w5 internet radio Lags

well I just installed winamp5 (looks awesome!) but when I connect to an internet radio I get those small lag bits between, it just stays connected but leaves away some sound now and then, also it gives some weird sounds threw the music, dont know how to explain it.. its more or less 'puffing' threw the music, I only have this problem on internet radio's.. any idea how I can solve this?

thanks..

edit:

ok played around with settings a bit, it no longer skips music but it does give these strange sound shocks in the tracks, it ONLY does this when im listening to internet radio, I have the latest drivers for my soundcard (SB Live player 5.1) and I have more then enuff memory + CPU to use winamp 5..

anyone?

What's your internet connection?

Did you do a clean install of WA5? What are (if any) your proxy settings?

at first I updated, then it gave those bleeps so I uninstalled and installed again, still giving those bleeps..

I am using a proxy yes, I have to, else it wont work. Though it's the proxy my ISP gave me (proxy.pandora.be:8080) and it worked fine on winamp 2.x

Well... if 2.x works, then 5 should be fine. What did you change in 5 (or 2) that you didn't change in the other?

(btw, is this a winamp 5 bug or just my proxy being 'not good enough'?)

you're welcome

It's undoubtedly because your proxy is a bit crappy - fine for web browsing, but a continuous data stream seems to be a bit much
