The Bias does not work correctly

I have a minor hearing problem, and as such have to set the bias to 66% left speaker. When I close winamp the and reopen the Bias resets to 50/50 ... This also happens when I change radio stations or clikc on an mp3 to listen to. Is this a feature or a bug?
My machine is a Windows Server 2003 standard,
Dual Xeon 2.8Ghx,
1.5GB ram
120Gb HD
Latest DirectX
Winamp 5.0

Anyone else get this? Anyone know a workaround??

Which output plug-in are you using? Try using DirectSound.
1. In Winamp, Ctrl+P (for preferences)
2. Plug-ins > Output
3. highlight/select 'DirectSound'
4. close out of prefs

What is your soundcard?
Do you have the latest updates for your soundcard?
Do you have any 3rd party Winamp plug-ins?

Try this forum search with balance resets as keywords. Or, try another search with your own keywords.
