On air playlist for a radio (soundcard stream, no MP3)
Hi,
sorry for my bad english. I'm providing bandwidth and server hosting for a french free radio. They want to give to the online listeners a way to know wich show is on air. They can do it manualy with the DSP Plugin in winamp but that's not very easy (the encoding machine is a bit far from the studio). I found the ExtraInfo plugin and though it would fits my needs. The problem is that the radio is streaming via the soundcard input and not via MP3s. How could we generate a sort of meta playlist (in fact the radio show program) wich could be sent to the disant Linux Shoutcast server ? I hope i made myself clear... |

would you be willing to demonstrate this via PHP coding language?
If so, we have a script that can show when the server is online/offline. |

Since they're in soundcard input mode, they'll either need to:
1: Update the titles manually via http://IP:PORT/admin.cgi?pass=PASSWORD&mode=updinfo&song=INFO 2: Try MP3Toolbox |

![]() I would be nice for them to have a web page where the can enter the full airplay and then send it to the server. It could also be an airplay hour by hour (from 8am to 9am, this show, from 9am to 10am, this one, etc.) I hope I haven't misunderstood your answer

But (there is a but), is it possible to give time parameters through the URL method ? A way to make the shoutcast server understand that for the present hour, it have to use that title, after one hour, another one, and so on ? |

![]() For SAM2, it surely would be a great solution but I first have to convince them that to put their radio online is a realy good idea. Then they'll gimme some cash to buy that soft. At the moment they, for exemple, still don't have a static IP address for the encoder machine (a disconnection/day)... |

For the PHP scripts:
Check out the Sticky post titled... SHOUTcast: Important Info & Answers to FAQs. READ ME! Scroll down a bit and look for the section titled... General SHOUTcast Information -> SHOUTcast ToolBox (All sorts of nifty add-ons for SHOUTcast) 1. The PHP based XML parser is a complete solution and comes ready for you to customize. 2. The Javascript parser (actually ASP) is another complete solution and comes ready for you to customize. Note: Apparently this link isn't working anymore. Try this thread for other ASP options. Also, for an html implementation, check out: KXRM's RadioToolbox Oddsock's Do Something DSP plugin -- Michael |
