Recording Audio

Anyone got any apps/plugins that record any sound going out of the soundcard? I need to record a mock radio show.

Audio from the system, to the system. Hehe, okay heres an example. Everything I play in Winamp, everything I say in the mic, everything my soundcard outputs gets recorded to a mp3/whatever file. Get it now? I assume this exists, as you can broadcast any sound coming out of your soundcard when you use Shoutcast for winamp.

Basically, I wanna pretend to be using shoutcast, but actually be recording to an mp3 file. (Or other ubercompressed file that wont take up 20 gigabytes for a 30 minute show.

) No, the interface doesn't have to be the exact same, but you get the point.

DSPs that can archive your stream

Otherwise, check out the rules regarding streamripping.

Well it's actually my stream. I don't want to actually stream it, just record like I was streaming... I'm makign no sense am I? I'll try those, thanks

That's just it! I don't even know what this is called... I tried "Record audio from soundcard" and other such examples. At least you can tell me what recording everything that outputs is called.
