Winamp 5 problem

I looked around nd i couldn't seem to find this posted anywhere else, so i apologise if it is.

I just downloaded winamp 5 and i can't get it to play WMA files.
They won't open on the playlist with my other songs. I've tried changing the prefrences and nothing.

Sorry of this has already been posted.

sounds like you downloaded the lite installer..

http://www.winamp.com/player/full.php

lite does NOT support the wma format.

you need the Full download and most probably video support aswell for the directshow wma codecs. (therefore for wma to work.)

Why NOT to use wma/mp3pro

I am also having problems with WMA. Plays fine on old Windows Media Player 7.0 with the latest codecs for WMP 9 download from MS update site. The same file stutters every 5 secs on WinAmp 5.01. Any ideas?

I'd be happy to email the WMA to any happy debugger.
