GAP KILLER -wont apply to CD burn

Can anyone explain why i cannot apply the crossfade/gap killer when I burn a CD yet it is applied to my playlist?

If you use an Output Plugin (a crossfader/gap killer) like the DirectSound Output in Winamp 5, It will not work because the sound is not processed by those plugins (and no other output plugin). I do not think Winamp lets DSP/Effect plugins process the sound when burning either.
