Did you do a clean install of Winamp5? Have you tried WA5-final? Did you redownload MMD3? What do you mean by "i just cant use MMD3" exactly? Does it crash? Not display? System specs?

Do a clean install of WA5 final, and download MMD3 again from the website.

Then report back again

Uninstall Winamp completely.

Make sure the directory is deleted after you uninstall. (Program Files -> Winamp)

Then reinstall, and download MMD3 from the Winamp website. I'll be very surprised if it doesn't work after that

What version of Windows are you running? What is the exact error message you get?

Update all your drivers for everything. Video card, sound card, Windows Update etc etc etc.

XP Home? Pro? Service pack?

Are you SURE you've downloaded a clean, non-corrupted version of MMD3 from the Winamp website? From what you've said, this is the most likely cause of the problem...

Well in that case, I'm stumped.

I'm still not convinced that you've actually installed a clean copy of both WA5 and MMD3 though...

Just go to windows update and update everything.

What are your specs.

And since this is reproduceable for you tell me excatly what you do to get this error. Seeing as this skin works perfectly fine for me.

im also having problems. clean install of wa5 final, clean download of skin, etc etc. my problem however is that it doesn't display the main window. i can bring up the playlist window, color themes, EQ, but no main window. it is checked saying it is being displayed, but i get nothing. it is a real stumper for me. all the other wa3 (or should i now say modern type skins ) work fine. any suggestions 'cause i can't figure it. normally i would delete studio.xnf but i looked and didn't see it. doesn't mean it wasn't there, but i didn't see it at the time.

When you take a hand and chop the fingers off... what do u get?

That would be the knub.

Do you have a 3rd party download accelerator/manager? If so, temporary disable it and try downloading the MMD3 again. Before downloading delete the "bad" copy of the MMD3 skin.

Please do not PM me for tech support. Any request for tech support through PM will be ignored.

You might want to try contacting Sven Kistner the author of MMD3 skin. He also developed the Winamp Modern skin. If you go to the skin browser (Ctrl+P > Skins) and click on the Winamp Modern skin his e-mail address will appear skin info box.

It should be in the Winam 5 folder, usually C:\Program Files\Winamp depending on where WA5 was installed. Delete the file while Winamp is not running. Try closing down Windows and reboot the computer if you can not see the Studio.xnf file.
