Can I boost my listeners on my station if I use my FTP server?

what do you think you will achieve by using your FTP server?
If you mean by running a SHOUTcast server through FTP, you can't. You will need some sort of shell access to execute the server application. -Jay | Radio Toolbox.com |

Check out the results from a SHOUTcast forum search on 'telnet ssh'.
Look for a post by clubexplosion titled: Install shoutcast on host Note: Other search criteria may yield more results. -- Michael |

Why would I get banned? I just want to have more room for listeners on my station by using my webserver.

if you want to increase your maximum listener base sure thats ok. But if you want to mess the counts up to make it seem like you have more listeners than you actually have then thats ban worthy.

That's all I want to do, just increase the maxium listeners. The server I want to use is from my ISP. Can someone tell me how to use the server for my station?

If you dan't have access to the remote computer, then you cannot install/instantiate the DNAS.
Use Third party DNAS hosting |

Impossible cause the file doesn't exist. The only thing you can do to boost listeners is get more upstream bandwidth.
I have shoutcast running on a 10mbps line and can support about 100 listeners at 56k. Now, if there was a way to create the file and also send it through FTP, I'm still limied by how much upstream I have... So, it can't be done, even if you could
